My dog absolutely loves this food. It offers the same as more expensive brands and contributes to shelters. You cannot go wrong with it!

  2. (verified owner)

My dogs really liked this food. I already purchase another Rachel Ray dog food. This gives the dogs some variety.

  3. (verified owner)

My dogs are finicky eaters. It was hard for me to find a dry dog that they would eat. They love the flavor of this dog food..Yay !

  4. (verified owner)

Peak is a GREAT dog food. Our Mastiffs Love it, however in the last week the price almost doubled !!! I had to go from Amazon to Chewy. $35 for the large bag on Chewy with free shipping. Makes my Prime acct questionable at best.

  5. (verified owner)

My lab mixes love this and I see improvements in itching. I keep three different flavors of Nutrish in the bowl for them and since I added this one they go straight for it.

  6. (verified owner)

Casey our Golden Retriever loves this grain free food. I can tell in the short time I’ve used this food, Casey’s coat is shiny again. I buy the 12lb bag and normally order about every two to two and half weeks. Also reasonably priced.

I’ve been desperately seeking a dog food that my dogs would like. Unfortunately, only one out of three would even touch this, reluctantly. I’m sure it’s good food, my dogs for whatever reason, has become somewhat picky and I don’t know why

  8. (verified owner)

My dog loves Rachel Ray dog food! I don’t know why but this is her caviar or whatever.I usually get the Rachel Ray Nutrish from the grocery store. It’s the low end with lots of filler. I wanted to get Ruby something a little better without totally overwhelming her with a different brand that has a crazy amount of protein. That usually just makes her stomach do weird things. Rachel Ray’s Peak was a nice balance between the extremes. It has a good amount of protein and, apparently, a great taste as Ruby scarfs this down in a very unladylike manner. If you care, it gets a 4.5 star rating on a website that rates dog food.

  9. (verified owner)

I was worried our picky boxer wouldn’t like it but he loves it! Unfortunately he has alopecia so we are hoping the grain free chicken free will help with his hair.

  10. (verified owner)

My 4 month old Boston Terrier puppy loves the taste but was having trouble with the kibble size. It’s listed as an “All Stages” kibble and might not have been a problem for larger breed puppies. I waited several weeks and mixed it in with his daily kibble and he’s eating it now that his adult teeth are coming in. Great price!

My dog has been having mobility issues so thought I would switch her diet to grain free and see if that made any difference. She now eats both wet and dry grain free food and seems to like this diet much better than her previous one. Hasn’t improved her mobility at all, but she is more interested in going for walks and has no digestive issues. She is a senior so all I want to do is keep her quality of life as good as possible for as much time as possible. If this helps, that is a good thing.

  12. (verified owner)

Tried this food out to see if my dog’s itchiness would go away. It worked! I assume my dog is allergic to foods with chicken as the main protein so I don’t think this has any chicken product. Love the price as well! I have become a loyal Rachael Ray pet food purchaser for my dog and my cats.

  13. (verified owner)

It’s been about 6 months since I switched my dog from gravy train to this food. What a difference! His fur is coming back,he’s got a ton of energy and he eats more. Recently I found out the terrible stuff that is in gravy train and it explains all of the health issues with my dog. He is looking and feeling so much better. I’ll continue ordering this.

My rescue dog loved this food. Since I knew very little about my new companion I wasn’t sure what he would like and he really chowed down on this food. He has some skin conditions that we are working on and this food did not seem to aggravate them. I highly recommend this food.

  15. (verified owner)

It’s okay… My dogs weren’t huge fans of it, and my Beagle did get sick from it, but he is super sensitive to different foods. My Pitbull loved it and had no problems eating it… Our pug loved it too, granted She’ll eat anything.

  16. (verified owner)

I have 2 older smaller dogs who are VERY picky eaters. I spent a fortune ordering food, dressing up their food, just to find they still only ate enough to survive, getting skinnier, and skinnier. Then I gave them this, and I could not be happier! This is a nutrisious, high protein food, that my dogs love! The presciption food made them sick, then they wouldn’t eat it. This is the only dog food I will buy forever!

We have a VERY FINICKY mini-Poodle who was rescued by us at a gas station near our home. The attendant saw someone pull up beside the station, open the front, drivers side door, and push him out and then, sped off. We found him at 3 pm that same day after being released from work due to bad weather conditions.Oliver is very finicky. For the first month that he lived with us, we had to mix wet and dry cat food into his dog food while slowly adding more dog food as per our vet. What he believed is that Oliver was given table scraps. The problem? Puppies can’t handle table scraps and as a result have unpleasant tummy troubles and that is why we believe he was dumped. To this day, 10-years later, he is the most finicky dog I’ve ever had and he’s my 5th.So….while he at his other dog food we could tell he didn’t like it.This was delivered after I searched for a brand that had better ingredients and more beef. After my husband brought the box in and opened it, Oliver sauntered over to give it a sniff and then, began to paw at the bag. WOW!I fed it to him that night and he gobbled it up.WINNER!!!He still likes to let his dinner “rest” for an hour before he eats it but he does love this food. I love that it’s made in the USA and the ingredients are top-notch. As well, the price is great for it and for the quality, it can’t be beaten.

I’ve tried a couple different grain free Rachael Ray foods before and my poodle mix always picks and chooses different pieces and leaves certain ones behind (always pulled out of the dish and left on the floor around it). She loves this one and eats every little bit so thumbs up from me. I like that I can feed my pack grain free food produced by someone who I know is an animal advocate and do so on a budget.

Given the ever price increases of Wellness Core dry (his primary kibble for years), decided to give this a try. My 9 yo doxie is a picky eater but a small test sample he ate it right up. So far having mixed in the remaining Wellness Core Reduced Fat… noticed he picks out the Peak kibble and leaves the W/C for later. No adverse effects so far – keeping a close watch (date code on bag no problem). We’ll see what results after the 12 lb mix is exhausted. No zip lock reseal on bag so 4 stars.

  20. (verified owner)

This is the only brand of food I buy for my pets.I had been feeding Wellness to my dogs but it made them sick and their poo looked funny. I switched to this brand after having been feeding it to my cat with a sensitive stomach. The dogs felt so much better and poo was normal!

  21. (verified owner)

We switched to this quality product after our dog almost died from a cheap brand …sorry but we were uneducated. ..we always read the ingredients. …and our dog loves this and we feel good about it…it’s worth it for our little whiskers…normally 4 pounds is eleven dollars so getting this shipped to your door is like 3 bags for less than 2…

  22. (verified owner)

I have been trying to get my dog to gain healthy weight but she is a picky eater. Since changing over to this food she has indeed gain some weight and is more active. With older food she would pick out only the favs she liked and the rest was a waste, with this food she eats it all.

  23. (verified owner)

I buy this for my two little maltipoo dogs. One of them has severe allergies and every dog food (even grain free) causes redness, itching, and scratching. This dog food has been amazing so far! I just ordered the 2nd bag because (knock on wood) we haven’t had the allergy issues. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

  24. (verified owner)

Dogs love it.. nice grain free food without a lot of filler. I feed it to my 11 year old and 6 year old dogs and they both love it

  25. (verified owner)

First off I love this product for my dogs. We have two puppies and one older dog that we switched to this dog food and have had nothing but a fantastic experience. Years of searching, changing, worry about quality and this food has really been a life saver! However, I’ve ordered this from another pet supplier and thought I would go ahead and start using Amazon instead considering I pay for a yearly Prime membership. I’ve ordered this product three times from amazon now and about 2/3 of the way through the bag the food is nearly completely crushed, there’s more tiny crumbles than there is kibble. I never had this issue with the other large online pet food distributor and will have to switch back. I can’t continue take a gamble on whether or not I’ll be feeding my dogs kibble or food that more resembles saw dust.

Excellent product, My Labrador Retriever has allergies which is very common for a labrador retriever, she eats this and I don’t know that it’s making her allergies any less severe but I am very confident that it isn’t making her allergies worse, She will eat about anything probably because she was starving to death when I found her, but that’s not the point, the point is now she’s a HAPPY, Healthy ( other than common allergies ) 90 of spoiled rotten dog, the dog food doesn’t have anything in it that should contribute to her allergies.. a bag last her about a month, the product is excellent, she likes it and it’s good for her and it doesn’t make her allergies any worse, I can’t spend a fortune on a bag costing $30.00-$40.00 or more each month, Some dogs will eat anything including the cheapest worst dog food on the market but in the long run the extra that I pay for a better food should help keep my Maggie right by my side maybe a few years longer than some of the cheapest brands on the market, You do the best that you can for them and that’s all that you can do.

  27. (verified owner)

I generally love these products, and this was a first of this “flavor”. They’ve been on the chicken. I slowly introduced them to this, and they both got sick. Never had this happen, even during financially difficult times, when they ate cheap food. I only have a 3 start because I’ve had no problems with other flavors of this brand. Otherwise it’d be a 1 star. Super disappointed.

my lab mix, about 7-8 years old (was a rescue), was already pretty skinny at 40 pounds. After I switched from the old brand (Blue Buffalo Gluten Free) to this Rachel Ray brand, she began to lose weight. After about a month she lost about 5 pounds at least, maybe more. It got so bad that my friends were commenting, and I can easily feel the bumps of her spine, the bones of her hips, etc. Also I noticed that the cup that I always give her weighs less with this food than the same cup of the old food, so this food is less dense, more air? Looks and feels like that old cereal cocco-puffs, just little crunchy balls of air. So I quickly went to the supermarket and bought a few cans of all-natural wet food, very expensive at $3.50 a can, and gave her that… and quickly she is putting on weight. I guess I’m going back to Blue Buffalo.

  29. (verified owner)

I switched my dog to this from another high protein brand which I need not say the brand name to save a few dollars a month. Totally ended up paying more money then I ever thought after feeding my Boxer this food for about a month. My dog ended up getting a very bad skin infection and ear infection which was a reaction from this food… I only feed him for about a month when I started to see the change in his coat so I immediately switch him back to his regular food … after switching his food back to his regular food his fur was getting better but his ears weren’t so I took him to the Vet and $300 later for ear cleaner, ear drops and a foam for his skin, he is much much better… that was an expensive savings … I would not recommend this food to any dog … I had high hopes since this is a brand that you can pick up at your local market with high protein but I regret the day I switched him to this food.

My dog used to be a farter but I started him on the grain free Rachel Ray and my house no longer smells like dog fart. In the store the largest bag I can find is 12 1/2 pounds so I have to buy 2 at $25 each. Ordering this on subscribe and save saves me money and I don’t have to go to the store and buy two bags of dog food every month.

  31. (verified owner)

My wife and I rescued a pit bull who is beyond a love bug! Unfortanly he has skin problems And needs grain free food. Rachel rays peak food not only does are dog love it but it has helped his skin out tremendously!! We just ordered the 24 pound bag and paid 40 and change was the cheapest price around I can’t even find it in the stores for that price. Also an added plus is I didn’t have to carry the heavy bag down are three flights of stairs at our house was delivered right to our front door

  32. (verified owner)

I believe in a grain free diet. Carbohydrates just fatten up animals like they do humans. This food is great if you want your dog to have a low carb and grain free diet. I have a lab and an italian greyhound and they both eat it up.

  33. (verified owner)

I have a 2yo Jack Russell. This food is great for a high energy dog. He is not a over eater so his bowl stays out and he eats what he wants. He is very healthy and full of muscle. His nose is always cold/wet and his teeth are white. His coat is shiny. This food works great for him. He does get some fishy breath from time to time.

  34. (verified owner)

much easier for smaller dogs to eat. while I like to fact that carrots were in the other flavor unless you soaked thema smaller dog, even our pug, could get strangled on them. this is much easier for her to eat

  35. (verified owner)

I love the label and I love the fact that it is healthier for dogs and even has the highest protein content but I honestly hate the fact that my Siberian Husky doesn’t like it. I got him the peak version (red version) vs zero grain to see if he would like it more (so far none is “enjoyable”) and first day of new food he put two kibbles in his mouth.. spit them out and looked at me with a face like “really ma?” He ate it- don’t get me wrong but he will not rush to it, only eats it when he’s truly starving hungry. What’s crazier to me is my family feed their dogs ol roy which is HORRIBLEE for dogs, when I run out I use it as a filler for the two days I wait on my package to arrive, yet he loves it go figure. He actually rushes to the food and may even over eat. It’s crazy because I don’t want to feed him that food but maybe it’s like how kids hate veggies but they’re good for us and yet we like fatty chips but they’re horrible for us ?? I don’t know if I should keep switching to different flavors to find one he likes or what but I like the fact it’s healthy and gives him the best protein but I just hate he doesn’t “LOVE” it lol if I pay 60 dollars for dog food I want him to really enjoy it. I hope I find a flavor my Bandit will love..

  36. (verified owner)

Oh well, I like Rachel’s Peak products. So I’ll use them next time on this and the wet pack. Turns out my dog likes them too. ;)No bad reactions, hard stools. All good. A little pricey, but if it’s a great product, I don’t mind and hey Rachel keep sending these coupons out.

  37. (verified owner)

I switched my dogs over to this when I saw the levels of the nutrients especially the ones vital for older dogs joints. My dogs had a softer coat within two weeks and they have been running around playing like crazy. I was paying $54 for 28lb bags before and now I’m paying much less for a better quality food. I am much happier with this food than I have been with many other brands. Highly recommended!

  38. (verified owner)

3 weeks after starting this food our dog became extremely ill. Throwing up and either mustard color or bloody diahrea. 2 trips to animal hospital and finally one to our normal vet and $1200. Finally as a last resort they treated him for salmonella and he started improving and was back to normal in 3 days. We threw the rest of the food away and won’t purchase anymore and I don’t recommend it. We went back to our trusted Blue Buffalo. I thought I would save some money switching to this brand but definitely didn’t after the vet bill.

  39. (verified owner)

Not only does my lab love it, but it is great quality food without all the fillers of other brands.

  40. (verified owner)

My dogs love this food and their coat has become soft and shiny. I like the fact that it only has natural preservative – that’s very important to me.

  41. (verified owner)

I’ve been feeding my dog this for about a year now. I recently switched off in favor of a grain food diet but when she was on it, she loved it. Seems to pair really well with wet food as well.

  42. (verified owner)

I just adopted a new rescue dog- something many more people need to do. She is my 3rd rescue dog. My last rescue dog lived with me for 12 years. Rachael Ray’s Peak food is my dog’s favorite food. She never leaves any in her dog dish- she eats every morsel. The ingredients are excellent and healthy. Your dog will thank you for feeding her or him this nutritious food.

  43. (verified owner)

Our dogs seem to prefer the Peak formula over the other dog foods we’ve tried. I’m pretty picky about dog food ingredients and these didn’t set off any alarm bells. Even our pickiest dog will eat this dry.

  44. (verified owner)

I’ve been feeding my three dogs this brand for several months. They love it so much, you can use the kibbles for treats and training ! I particularly like the fact that it is 30% protein, although the freeze dried raw meat is even more nutritious….but soooo costly, especially with three dogs.

  45. (verified owner)

My 11 year old Golden had eaten Pedigree for years. As his appetite got a bit inconsistent with age, I gave this a try. Immediate improvement in eating. Then I tried the fowl-based ones…. even better.

  46. (verified owner)

My dog is a picky eater. When I first adopted him I spent a ton of money trying to appease his palate. I tried Blue Buffalo, Taste of the Wild, etc. – just about every “healthy” and “high quality” dog food I could find. I finally tried Rachel Ray’s Peak. He loves it, so I’ve kept it. I rotate the flavors for him. And if you check the ingredients, they compare to all the other more expensive, higher quality dog foods. Looking forward to trying the new bison flavor.

  47. (verified owner)

Our dogs have been on this food for a while but we love the amazon price way more than the target price. Dog food is well loved by our dogs.

  48. (verified owner)

My rescue Siberian has been eating Rachael Ray regular chicken for 7 years. As time went on, I was finding that I had to “jazz it up” with sliced steak, roast beef, peanut butter, etc. I thought I would give this a try. MY DOG ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!! No more spending extra $$. Amazon has the best price, and on Prime, it’s free shipping.

  49. (verified owner)

Our dog has rather severe allergies which cause her to scratch, sneeze and generally be somewhat miserable if not treated. Although she takes medication, she still seemed to scratch a great deal until we eliminated all grain and chicken from her dog food. Rachel’s Nutrish PEAK Open Range Recipe seems to have helped to greatly reduce her need to scratch. In addition, she seems to really like the taste of the food as she gobbles it up quite quickly! This is a really great brand of dog food. Give it a try if your dog has allergies.

  50. (verified owner)

My dog loves mixing this high protein food in with the other Salmon brand. I ordered a 23lb bag. Box arrives in perfect condition, even with the little spacer paper to keep the bag from jostling making the box harder to lift and carry. The bag heavily taped, and feels light for 20+ lbs; as I have ordered this size nearly a dozen times thus far. I press on the bag, AIR COMES OUT OF IT, and it compresses down to about half the bag. The person who packed this box HAD TO BE TOLD TO PUT THIS IN and that it is acceptable by a superior. No common amazon box filler is going to risk their job putting jacked up empty product in a box with their packing code on it. We’ve all seen the clips and interviews, they get fired over absolutely nothing; and they know it.I will not be using amazons services for any future dog treat or food purposes. I’m outright disappointed.
